Renmar DME Inc. COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update 

 

These are certainly trying times for all of us. For our valued patients and their families this new virus situation adds an entirely new level of stress on top of an already traumatic situation. As always Renmar DME Inc. is committed first to our patients.  

 

Due to the current situation we have enacted our emergency preparedness plan, and the following measures are effective as of March 19th, 2020: 

 

Concord Main Office 

  • Showroom visits are cancelled until further notice. We will make every effort to work over the phone or via videoconferencing and will get you what you need to every extent possible. 

  • In order to protect our valued employees we will honor the six-foot distance rule as possible while in the office. 

  • We will monitor our team members regularly for sickness and ensure that anyone exhibiting symptoms are treated appropriately, including going home for recovery and seeking medical treatment and approval for work return.  
     

Wheelchair, Seating & Mobility Assessments 

  • Renmar will perform assessments via video / teleconferencing to every extent possible. This will include coordination remotely with the patient and caregiver or therapist who is physically with the patient. Renmar DME has expertise doing this under normal circumstances as remotely assessing has historically sometimes been necessary. 

  • Face-to-face assessments are not recommended based on guidelines by the CDC and other agencies as social separation rules are being followed.  
     

Delivery Technicians

  • Prior to delivering equipment to homes we will do a phone screen with the appropriate caregiver or household member to ensure there is no threat to our delivery technicians. 

  • Renmar has implemented a safe distance delivery policy with the following provisions that will be maintained to every extent possible, while still providing the valued equipment and care that patients need: 

  • Maintaining a 6-foot distance from all patients and caregivers within the home. 

  • Delivering equipment to outside the home where possible. 

  • Waiving signature requirements whenever possible. 

  • Shipping equipment when possible. 
     

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will diligently follow the professional guidance provided by our local, state, and federal agencies.
